General

  • What happens if hub.berlin gets postponed?

    In case hub.berlin has to be postponed, there are two options: You can either cancel your ticket free of charge and get a full refund or use your ticket for the new date.

    Your ticket will keep its validity without you having to do anything. If you cannot make it to the new date, you can also transfer your ticket to a different person for free.

  • Is there a parking spot nearby?

    There are only limited parking spaces available on public roads around the location. We recommend using Berlin's public transport lines or ride-hailing/taxi services to access the event.

  • What are my payment options at STATION Berlin?

    hub.berlin is fully cashless. Only card payment is available for catering and other on-site expenses.

  • Are there transportation discounts to the event?

    Yes! As sustainability is an important aspect of our event, we would like to recommend you to travel to Berlin by train. To make it as easy as possible for you, Bitkom is cooperating with Deutsche Bahn to offer you more affordable train tickets. You can find out more about this on the Bitkom website.

  • I couldn't make it. Will there be a live stream?

    During the event, there won’t be a livestream available. However, some keynotes and talks of the main stages will be filmed and uploaded to the Bitkom Events YouTube channel after the event.

  • Whom can I contact if I have any questions?

  • Do I have to register for masterclasses?

    As all masterclasses have a maximum capacity, you will need to register for a workshop via the programme tab in our event app.

  • May I also visit the Club Night with my event ticket?

    Club Night access is included in the Standard, Startup, Student and Afterwork tickets.

  • For whom is the event?

    hub.berlin is bringing together people operating or simply having an interest in the following fields: technology, digitalisation, innovation, research and policy. In 2019, over 50% of our participants were C-Level/Head of attendees. Whether you are an expert or just getting started, you are welcome to join our business festival.

  • How do I become a Bitkom member?

Participants

  • Will there be a storage room for luggage on site?

    In case of you bringing luggage to hub.berlin there will be the option to store it at the location. 

  • Where can I redeem my code?

    Promotion codes can be redeemed in the ticket shop.

  • Do you provide German or English translations?

    The conference will be held in English. There will be no translation into German.

  • Can I charge my mobile phone on site?

    Yes, you will be able to charge your cell phone on site.

  • Will there be childcare on site?

    There will be no childcare offered on site.

  • What is the Wi-Fi password?

    The Wi-Fi password will be published 2 days prior to the event on the in the event app as well as provided to you at the info point on the venue.

  • I have trouble with the event app.

    On-site app support will be provided to all participants. In case you have any questions in advance, please contact our team directly: info@hub.berlin.

  • I have not accepted to be visible inside the event app. Can I join that later?

    All participants will be able to adjust their visibility within the event app, regardless of their choice during the ticket booking process.

  • How do I access the event app?

    As a ticket holder, you will receive an invitation to access our event app via e-mail shortly after your purchase.

  • What are my payment options for buying a ticket?

    The following payment options are available: Credit card, Direct debit, PayPal, Invoice, Prepayment. 

  • How do I cancel my ticket and can I transfer the ticket to someone else?

  • Can I register on site?

    Buying a ticket on site is not possible. Please head to our ticket shop to get your ticket in advance.

  • Where do I find my ticket?

    You can find your ticket in the confirmation e-mail that is sent to you after booking and within the event app. If you are not able to find your ticket, please check your spam folder or contact Kevin Helmuth.

  • Do you have a dress code?

    The dress code is smart casual.

Partners

  • Will there be photos or footage of the event?

    Depending on your partnership package, we will instruct professional photographers to take pictures of your exhibition booth. If you are unsure about your package, please contact Kevin Helmuth.

  • Will the presentations be published afterwards?

    All partners and speakers can submit their presentations in the event app. Select recorded presentations can be found on Youtube after the event.

  • I entered my promotion code incorrectly. What should I do?

    No worries, we will sort this out. Please contact Kevin Helmuth with information about your company, the code, and your title. Thank you!

  • I would like to know how many people were at our booth. Do you offer Lead Scanning?

    For partners, there will be the possibility to get access to the Lead Scanning service in the event app. Access to the Lead Scanning feature is free of cost.

  • Can partners share free tickets with their business clients?

    As a partner of hub.berlin, you will get a promotional code for your employees to use. The intention of the partner tickets is to use them only for your company. However, if you do not need them entirely, you are welcome to give some of your partner tickets to your business clients.

  • Where can I redeem my partner codes?

    Promotion codes can be redeemed in the ticket shop.

  • What is part of my partner package?

    We have several partner packages that are designed to suit your needs. For further information, please check our partner page.

  • I am interested in several Bitkom events. Are there any discounts for multiple bookings?

    Partners sponsoring more than one Bitkom event are eligible for the Bitkom Live Partner Discount. For further information and to receive an offer please contact Jan Fischmann.

  • Can I participate as a partner without being a member of Bitkom?

    Partner packages are not limited to Bitkom members. However, if you are interested in a membership, contact Nadja Strauchmann for further information.

Speakers

  • When do I have to be there as a speaker, and where will I find photos of myself later?

    Please be at the stage technician's desk (FOH) at least 15 min prior to your talk. Photos of hub.berlin will be published after the event.

  • Do speakers need to purchase a ticket?

    No, you will be registered by us and you won't need to purchase a ticket.

  • Which format should my presentation have? And by when should the presentation be submitted?

    Please prepare your slides in 16:9 format and send them to our events team prior to the deadline communicated within the speaker guidelines. The guidelines will be sent to you at least 2 weeks before the event takes place.

  • Is it possible to use my own laptop on stage?

    The use of your own laptop on stage is not possible. Your presentation will be handled by an on-site technician. Your presentation will be checked by us and sent to the technician prior to your slot.

  • Which information do you need from me as a speaker?

    We will need your photo (high-resolution color picture), a short CV in English, your social media handles, your presentation title, and a short abstract describing your talk. All the information will be published on the event website.

Startups

  • Are there discounts available for startups?

    If you are not a member of GetStarted, you get the chance to apply for a free ticket to join the event as a visitor.

  • Do Startup partner packages exist?

    There will be a special GetStarted Area at hub.berlin.

  • What is the Innovator's Pitch?

    The Innovators’ Pitch is a competition for European startups with place of business in Germany. Entrepreneurs get the chance to present their innovative products and prototypes to a high-level jury and an expert audience.

  • How do I apply for the Innovators’ Pitch?

    The Innovator's Pitch website provides all relevant information on how to apply for the Innovator's Pitch.

  • What will happen after we applied for the Innovator's Pitch?

    Our jury will thoroughly review all applicants and will choose three finalists for each category. These finalists have the chance to pitch their ideas on the main stage of hub.berlin.
