Embracing The Future: hub.berlin 2023 Summary

This year's hub.berlin brought over 5000 participants, 200 speakers and 150 sessions together. During two days discussions and interactions around the potential in tech to serve and shape our societies in tomorrow’s realities have captivated the audience.

From the opening Keynote of Timotheus Höttges (CEO, Deutsche Telekom) to the closing Keynote of Dr Volker Wissing (Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and Transport in Germany), pressing questions have been discussed on stage.

Other inspiring personalities, such as Jonas Andrulis, CEO & Founder Aleph Alpha; Dr. Anna Christmann, Commissioner for Digital Economy and Start-ups at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy; and Dr. Daniela Gerd tom Markotten from the Management Board for Digitalization & Technology at Deutsche Bahn shared their valuable insights.

Aside of the hub.conference programme, attendees could also explore a range of cutting-edge technology on the tech playground, such as painting robot, a cyber foosball kicker, a moon rover or a smart vertical farming setup to name a few. Throughout the two days creative networking, career development and masterclass formats also contributed to the onsite community dynamic.

Renowned artists such as Byrke Lou and MAOTIK brought an immersive experience and new perspectives by showing how art can be used to push the boundaries of technology. Besides an acoustic journey at the club night with beats from Berlin based DJ’s Caleesi and MIDAS 104, mindful sessions rounded off the hub.experience.

Next stop to explore what the future holds:  March 6-7, 2024.
