Caro Aschemeier

Caro Aschemeier studied to become a teacher and started her own business as a foreign language teacher. Based on her experience in the school system as well as in adult education, she realised early on that there were far too few opportunities for individual support with existing teaching materials. In 2019, she and her husband founded Deutschfuchs Gesellschaft für digitale Unterricht mbH, which distributes a learning platform for German as a foreign and second language.

The Cologne-based startup Deutschfuchs is committed to New Learning and is making a contribution to the fight against the shortage of skilled workers. The software is used worldwide, won the Comenius Award in 2021 and was certified by the Austrian Ministry of Education in 2023. Deutschfuchs is a partner of Hueber Verlag, the world market leader in German as a foreign language. Caro Aschemeier is involved in the board of the AK Learning Solutions of Bitkom as well as in the Startup Committee of the didacta association.
