Dr. Wing-Hin Chung

Dr. Wing-Hin Chung was appointed Head, Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, Berlin in November 2012.

After graduating with a master degree in business administration, he worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Institute for Management of Free University Berlin. During this period, he gained his PhD with a dissertation on international joint ventures.

He then started to work in a garment trading and manufacturing company with headquarters in Hong Kong and production bases in China. At the same time, he spent several years as a guest lecturer for German-Chinese business relations at Baptist University in Hong Kong.

Dr. Chung is an expert on both macro-economic development and international trade, and he has extensive sales and leadership experience in the private sector. During his tenure at InvestHK, he has helped numerous companies and start-ups from Europe to set up successfully in Hong Kong.

Dr. Wing-Hin Chung grew up in Germany and is a German citizen. He speaks German, English, Cantonese and Mandarin. After an extended period of time in Hong Kong, he moved back to Germany and lives in Berlin since November 2012.
