Mareike Rauchhaus
Mareike Rauchhaus has been managing the public affairs of nextbike for over a
decade and has significantly influenced the company's development from a micromobility
pioneer to a bike-sharing market leader. In 2019, she was portrayed in Die Zeit
(https://www.zeit.de/2019/46/ostdeutschland-junge-menschen-herkunft-wied…-
jubilaeum?utm_referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F) as one of the 100 most
important young East Germans. She is board
member of Cycling Industries Europe and leader of the Leipzig-Dresden
Hub https://www.womeninmobility.org/leipzig-dresden of Women in Mobility. For this woman of
conviction, the (shared) bicycle is the primary means of transport to reduce urban land scarcity,
particulate pollution, noise and much more with comparatively minimal investment. For her,
multimodal mobility is not a vision of the future but a reality.
