Mauro Arruda

Mauro Arruda is the CEO of Smartia Ltd and responsible for the operations of the company. With over 15 years working at the cutting edge of technology development, Mauro has worked at companies such as QinetiQ and Airbus Innovations. He has also been a founder of a number of digital transformation companies that worked with organisations such as the National Grid, Heineken and Rolls-Royce, helping them drive value from data and artificial intelligence technologies. Smartia are on a mission to accelerate the use of big data and analytics in the industrial sectors by developing an “AI for Industry” intelligence platform. Mauro holds a PhD in engineering modelling from the UK Defence Academy and a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering from UBI, Portugal.
