Prof Dr Thomas Krech
Prof. Dr. Thomas Krech is a physician for general and internal medicine, a specialist for microbiology and infection epidemiology (D) and a specialist for medical analytics FAMH.
His career led him via medical studies to clinical training at the Cantonal Hospital of St. Gallen and to his doctoral thesis. In 1981, he moved to the Institute for Medical Microbiology of the Canton of St. Gallen. At the Institute of Medical Microbiology and Virology of the University of Düsseldorf, he deepened his knowledge in bacteriology and infectiology and was appointed professor in 1989. After two years as a senior physician at the Institute of Hygiene at the University of Bern, his path led him to the private sector. After setting up the infection diagnostics department at Labor Risch in Liechtenstein, he founded Labor Prof. Krech AG in 1994, which is now part of the medica Group and where he served as department head for 12 years. In 2016, he founded MiSANTO AG.
