Susan-Stefanie Breitkopf

Susan-Stefanie Breitkopf has been Chief Transformation Officer at the ZEISS Group since 2022. She has responsibility for Digital Infrastructure, Digital Innovation and Human Resources, Shared Procurement & Logistic Services, and US Shared Services. She is also Director of Labour Relations at Carl Zeiss AG.

Susan-Stefanie Breitkopf was born on 25 September 1968 in Hamburg. She studied law at the University of Hamburg and completed her legal training at the Regional Appellate Court 
in Hamm. She has specialized in labor law since 2001 and worked as a specialist in labor law.

In 2004 she accepted a managerial role at Lanxess AG, a move which saw her career shift to the industrial setting. In this role, she managed a variety of HR functions and helped enable their future-oriented advancement. Susan-Stefanie Breitkopf previously worked for the Currenta Group, a former joint venture of Bayer AG and Lanxess AG, as well as Covestro AG.
